Fresh Protests Arise in Rukpokwu Community, Port Harcourt As Police Allegedly Killed a Keke Driver Over #100 Bribe

– Fresh reports indicates that a police officer has allegedly shot and killed a keke (Tricycle) driver because of a feud between them over an #100 bribe.

– Fresh protest against police brutality rocks the entire Rukpokwu community in Port Harcourt, Delta State over the sad incident.

A police officer has been accused of brutally killing a young Tricycle driver who is identified as ‘Schoolboy’ because he refused to give bribe of #100.

The officer was said to have immediately fled the scene after he committed the heinous act.

Youths in the community including other Tricycle drivers and motorcyclists have taken to the streets to protest against the brutal killing. They were seen brandishing the body of the driver on top of the Tricycle as they moved through the town. The roads were blocked as they angrily protested the killing of ‘SCHOOLBOY’.

The situation of police brutality and illegal killings doesn’t seem to have diminished in the country despite weeks of extensive protests carried out by Nigerian youths against police brutality few months back.

The government seems to have a lackadaisical attitude towards this steaming issue as little has been done to curb the situation.

Meanwhile many Nigerians has taken to social media to decry the killing.
